‘Inspiring Works Are #possibleinizmir’ is a design collective of more than 15 architects representing disciplines ranging from visual and industrial design to interior, landscape and urban architecture. The initiative creates open spaces for the team to meet and discuss the design goals of the city and organize and prepare an exhibition to share their works with a broader audience. Master architects Evren Başbuğ, MSc, and H. Cenk Dereli, PhD, organize the projects, and their collective NOBON channel presents each of the designers in a series of video Q&As.
The architects and designers work with city planners and business professionals to outline the city’s culture strategy, define practical actions and raise awareness of the cultural industry and creative economy. The project aims to enhance the way residents and visitors engage with the environment, and strives to improve Izmir’s reputation as a destination for design, arts and culture.
