Spaces of Culture’s second Mobility Programme took place during 4-11 November. The invited participants of the program came together physically in order to exchange ideas through presentations, visit art institutions, and foster new collaborations in the field of theatre, performing arts, and contemporary arts. In the program, a total of 15 participants from Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Izmir, and their neighboring cities participated in presentations and paid visits to Istanbul Modern Museum, Institut Français de Istanbul, Moda Sahnesi, Kumbaraci50, KulturAkademie Tarabya, DEPO, Salt Galata, and Arter, experiencing the shifts and updates at the artistic institutions due to the pandemic. The program also included performance art visits like ‘’Be Water my Friend’’ by Dadans.
For the program, the following guest speakers were invited from the partner countries of Spaces of Culture and delivered a speech: Dr. Verda Kaya (Germany, Berlin) talked about the diversity in the culture of remembrance while Can Sungu (Germany, Berlin) organized a workshop about bi’ bak. Laurent Dehlinger (France) from Festival Hop Hop Hop presented how street theatres uplift the habitants of Metz in France, and Anna Van der Vliet (Sweden) provided input on curatorial practices and the foundation of ICIA.
