Organized by Alan Antakya with the support of the Spaces of Culture International Co-Production Fund, the “TRACE” project draws inspiration from the archaeological context of Aççana Höyük / Alalah Ancient City, located near the Syrian border in Hatay and dating back to 4000–3000 BCE.
Developed in collaboration with Michael Maurissens and Philip Horst from Germany and Rasim Paşaoğlu and Murat Akar from Türkiye, the project explores the memory of the site through an abstract performance language, using music and the body as tools of narrative expression.
As part of the project, workshops on contemporary dance, music, and archaeology are held for young participants. It also includes a public performance, the production of an experimental documentary film, and screenings of the film in Hatay and Berlin.
