The project RadioJîn continues to deliver training on podcast production and streaming to women in the region of Diyarbakir in collaboration with the Flying Broom Women’s Association from Ankara. After starting these trainings in 2021, RadioJîn invites women of all ages to actively take part in feminist studies via an open call and organizes workshops about women’s issues touching on both the technical and theoretical sides of podcasting as a new media tool.
The project’s opening event was organized in Ankara between 21-22 May with the participation of the Flying Broom Women’s Association and included workshops focused on studio recordings, interviews, edits, audio experiments, as well as podcast theory. This year’s training welcomes former participants who took part in the 2021 online sessions and those who respond to the 2022 open call. During the project, women will talk about topics regarding fundamental discussions such as Women and Art, Women and Science, Women and Ecology, and will broadcast 12 podcast episodes in September, inviting guests from Diyarbakır and Ankara.
