ⒸRamzy Shrayyef
‘Synthesis’ utilizes the interaction of simple musical notes, the human voice -the first natural instrument known to humankind- and various instruments from different cultures and regions to produce musical compositions. It connects nine vocal and instrumental artists from Turkey, France and Syria on a cultural music platform to work on five pieces of music and to produce new music that nullifies borders. ‘Synthesis’ emphasizes the phenomenon of migration and its difficulties expressed through music in a novel way. The project primarily focuses on the artistic process of the participants, making the results widely accessible to listeners and experimental music lovers through online publication.
