A sensational contemporary art experience awaits the denizens of the city of Diyarbakır in October. The art lovers are all welcome to join the two day long ‘Art for Everyone’ event to listen the project director of Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k) and art historian Eva-Maria Gillich give a talk and view a selection of works from the Video-Forum which also is a part of the n.b.k. On October 19th, Eva-Maria Gillich will talk about not only the past but future events organised by the n.b.k.
The n.b.k. founded in Germany to convey contemporary art to wider range of audiences and encourage their active participation in cultural processes the n.b.k not only hosts solo exhibitions by the artists such as Halil Altındere, Nairy Baghramian, Rosa Barba, Jimmie Durham, VALIE EXPORT, Harun Farocki, Gustav Metzger, Hito Steyerl and Clemens von Wedemeyer but also organises artist talks, workshops and seminars. On October 20th, the denizens of Diyarbakır will get the chance to view a selection from the n.b.k. Video-forum, which was established in 1971 and is one of the oldest and richest collections with more than 1500 video art pieces in its possession.
