Spaces of Culture

Ahura Theatre Camp: The Craft of Monologue is a four-day training program held in Sürgücü, Mardin, in collaboration with Şaneşîn Performans and Ahura Theatre Cooperative. Based on Berlin-based director Monika Dobrowlanska’s “Craft of Monologue” methodology, the camp offers theatre educators workshops on monologue analysis, energy, and composition techniques.

Supported by Spaces of Culture, the project strengthens regional collaboration among theatre communities in Mardin, Diyarbakır, and Batman, supports multilingual theatre production, and increases youth access to the arts. Enriched with workshops and seminars, the camp highlights local cultural heritage and social solidarity while adhering to principles of ecological sustainability. The program includes preparatory meetings, communication efforts, social media documentation, and an integrated evaluation process.
