The project titled “The Borders of Art: Intercultural Interaction and Creative Exchange”, supported by Spaces of Culture Co-Production Fund, is taking place in Diyarbakır in collaboration between Merkezkaç Art Collective and Sweden-based Kultur Och Ateljéföreningen F2.
Consisting of workshops, exhibitions, and talks, the project aims to establish a space for dialogue that transcends borders. It explores the boundaries and uncertainties of art and life, and together with artists from different geographies, seeks to discover mental codes unrestricted by borders along fluid paths.
The project proposes to rethink artistic production through themes of displacement, transience, and spatial shifts. In the workshops conducted with local artists and youth, the goal is to share intercultural experiences and creative methodologies using both traditional and innovative techniques.
