Spaces of Culture

Zarife Arslan’s project “Volta: HighLight” aims to challenge the prevailing male-dominated perception in street art, particularly in graffiti, by increasing the visibility of women+ artists and raising awareness about gender-based approaches.

Organized within the support of Spaces of Culture’s International Co-Production Fund and in collaboration with Pascal Feucher from Urban Spree (Germany), Volta: HighLight is creating a bridge between Berlin and Izmir with talks and exhibitions hosted by Darağaç Collective.

Creating a space for interaction with women + artists living in the two cities and establishing new solidarity networks are among the most important  goals of the project to be held in September.
