‘Chronic Liminality’ discusses some of the key issues in the field of culture and art such as precarity, deterritorialization, dispossession, the conflict between creative and administrative management, and the relationship between civil society and cultural management, as well as new forms of expression and organisation through personal and subjective perspectives of artists and cultural managers. The project being developed in collaboration with MitOst, Bosch Alumni Network, and K2 Contemporary Art Centre features submissions focused on Izmir, Istanbul, Diyarbakır, Ayvalık, Bodrum, and Berlin.
“Chronic Liminality”, whose intellectual foundations were laid in the project of “Komunitas-İzmir Independent Performance and Cultural Studies Cooperation”, is taught through workshops to be conducted by Onur Atay. The project continues the course of current issues with a documentary performance called “What Now So Far” by Fatih Genckal, Metehan Kayan, Sarp Keskiner, and Şafak Ersözlü.
