The recent prominent films from German cinema will delight cinephiles in Gaziantep with a memorable programme. Kino2018, which is a cooperated effort of Goethe-Institut and German Films, will give the audiences of Zeugma International Film Festival the chance to view a selection of award winning German films.
The Kino2018 program includes films like ‘The Transit’ directed by Christian Petzold, the winner of the 2018 Istanbul Film Festival Golden Tulip Award ‘Western’, the winner of seven awards in German Film Awards ‘3 Days in Quiberon’, Golden Bear nominee in Berlinale ‘In the Aisles’, ‘The Styx’ and the documentary film ‘Tempelhof Airport’ that both deal with global refugee crisis. Another film that will be screened as part of the program is the award-winning documentary on the life of Yılmaz Güney, ‘The Legend of the Ugly King’, directed by Hüseyin Tabak. Hüseyin Tabak himself will be attending the screening and will participate in a Q&A with the audience after the screening.
