Spaces of Culture

The Gazişehir Culture and Art Association, in partnership with Heimathafen Neukölln Theater (Germany) and Assoc. Prof. Dr Zerrin Yanıkkaya (Türkiye) is working to bring back the “sahre culture”.

Supported by Spaces of Culture’s International Co-production Fund, the “Sahre” project will take place in Gaziantep between May 15- November 15 to turn stories collected from oral history workshops with young people into performance texts.

The performance will premiere at the 5th Gazişehir Theatre Festival on October 12th-13th. Moreover, the project intends to revive cultural elements that have been forgotten or overlooked over time through art with domestic and international screenings.
