In ‘A Very Short Story’, Syrian artist Rawan Magharbeh uses her illustration style to uniquely visualize the story of a child refugee’s migration from Syria to Turkey. The four-minute hand-drawn animation creatively presents the obstacles the child encounters after his injury during the war, his transition into Turkish society and his hopes and dreams for a better future in a literary-artistic way. After the public film screening in Gaziantep, the artist invites viewers to an open discussion to raise awareness and to an exhibition of her original sketches, illustrations and production process to inspire other artists to use their creative abilities to bring these compelling and remarkable stories to light.
